Rummage Sale

Myrna Lawrence-Waters

Trinity’s 2023 rummage sale raised $3,699.90, which was contributed to the church’s general fund.  This sale was made possible by the contributions of many parishioners and friends who donated their time and previously loved items so that others may enjoy their new found treasure(s).

I would like to thank the members of the Rummage Sale Committee that donated many hours to sort, price and display the items for the sale: Joan Campbell, Linda Canfield, Marsha Hazen, Carol Lush-Ehmann, Phil Ehmann, Jack Eddy, Jan Musolino, Betty Fitzmorris and Grace (Linda Canfield’s granddaughter.)

I also want to acknowledge the additional parishioners whose help was invaluable in making this a successful rummage sale. They served as cashiers, table monitors, key holders, heavy lifters, packers, money counters, and other roles as needed: Lee and Ruth Stoddard, Sharon Burch, Dottie Vassalo, Bob Romanet, Dorothy Romanet, Fred Fant, Joe Ringholz, Lynn Ringholz, Marion Montstream, Jiffy Naumann, Nicole Lawrence and Yvonne Lanier (Myrna’s sister.) Pete Marullo transported many items from donor’s homes to the church for the sale, Katelyn Quartuccio took on the job of advertising for the sale again this year, and Carl Thorpe sent ads to the Greece Churches and the Episcopal Diocese and also kept me informed of donor’s inquiries regarding the sale.

The unsold clothes were given to the Habitat for Humanity Program, which Trinity supports through the Greece Churches Coalition. The Salvation Army received the unsold items for their Adult Rehabilitation Center Program. The books were donated to Trinity’s Free Library and also will be placed in the book stand by the entrance for parishioners to borrow and return or keep and pass on to others who would like to read them.

If I missed anyone who helped I apologize for the omission.

Thank you for making this another successful rummage sale.

Free Little Library

Carol Lush-Ehmann

Please keep in mind that we maintain a Free Little Library near the north entrance to the church.  I try to exchange books once a month to ensure that there is a fresh selection.  Browse and take a book or leave a book!  Find a treasure for your end of summer reading.  Enjoy!

We gratefully acknowledge with respect the Seneca Nation of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, whose ancestral lands the Town of Greece and the City of Rochester now occupy. We encourage every member of our community to learn about the indigenous communities who make their home here today and to work for indigenous rights and justice.
