Buildings & Grounds Update

Pete Marullo

This has been a hard winter on the Trinity property.

The extreme cold and snow, along with some warmer days has caused a lot of water issues. The roof has a leak which we haven’t been able to pinpoint yet due to the depth and weight of snow on the roof. The basement has also had several different perimeter leaks. There are a total of 12 drains around the outside of the building which all must constantly be kept free of leaves and debris just to give us barely adequate water removal. Unfortunately, this winter they have all been frozen up, with damage to some.

We meet every Tuesday morning and try to keep everything flowing in the right direction. Anyone that is available to come in for a couple of hours on Tuesday morning (9:00 am – 12:00 noon) would be a welcome help. There have also been a number of routine repairs and a few small upgrades that are ongoing.

Bible Study

Revd. Deborah Duguid-May

Bible study will resume on March 12, 2025. Join us at 6:30 as we discuss the “Great Themes of Christianity.” If you can’t make it in person, join us via Zoom. Zoom link can be found at https://trinity-greeceny.org/worship-info/#zoom.

It’s Time for Lenten Friend

Pam Fitzmorris

Lent will be upon us before we know it and with Lent comes our Lenten Friend program. Everyone who wishes to participate will write their contact information down and put it in the basket. Once all the names have been added, each participant will select a name out of the basket. You then anonymously connect with their new friend through cards or little tokens but most importantly, prayer. Then on Easter Sunday, we reveal ourselves to our Lenten friend. Some buy little gifts to celebrate the occasion. This is just a fun little way to add some joy to a very difficult season. I hope that you will all participate.

Shaun M. Bohrer Memorial Scholarship

Linda Bohrer

The Shaun M. Bohrer Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Shaun Michael Bohrer who died, at age 22, in an aviation accident on April 12, 2003. Shaun was a 1998 graduate of Greece Arcadia High School, Greece New York, and a 2002 graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Florida.

Shaun possessed a deep faith in God. He was academically gifted and musically talented. Shaun endeavored to do his best in all his achievements. He loved God, his family, his friends and flying.

Shaun was a remarkable young man of outstanding character who lived his faith. He shared his love of the Lord with all who knew him. He touched many lives while he was alive; it is our hope that with this scholarship his ministry will continue.

Application packets are available in the Trinity office or at

We gratefully acknowledge with respect the Seneca Nation of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, whose ancestral lands the Town of Greece and the City of Rochester now occupy. We encourage every member of our community to learn about the indigenous communities who make their home here today and to work for indigenous rights and justice.

Trinity Episcopal Church is committed to being an open and affirming church that welcomes LGBTQIA+ people into full participation in the life and leadership of our congregation. We recognize the unique blessings and gifts that the LGBTQIA+ community bring to the Church, and we acknowledge that our spiritual lives are more full, more vibrant, and more whole when all are included at the table, in service, and in leadership.

We recognize that LGBTQIA+ people have historically been excluded from full participation in Christian communities. This exclusion has caused demonstrative harm. Therefore, we are intentional in our invitation and welcome to this marginalized group. We seek to restore justice, learn from our past and those we have historically ostracized, and heal God’s beloved community.
