Trinity Episcopal Church Clergy Search Committee Nomination Form Step 1 of 2 50% EmailThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged. We need your help to nominate candidates to serve on the Search Committee for a new rector. Committee members will help create a job description for the new rector, identify and evaluate candidates, and craft the final job offer and call package. As you prepare to make your nominations for the Search Committee, please consider the following: Members of the Committee will be expected to be a part of a team committed to working together in unity as the Committee seeks to find God’s choice as their next rector. Members of the Committee must maintain strict confidentiality as to the conversations and the work of the Committee. Members of the Committee must be a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in good standing. Members of the Committee will be a balanced and diverse group of individuals with a deep love of and commitment to Trinity Episcopal Church who possess a variety of gifts, experience, and talents. Neither staff members nor both partners of a married / partnered couple may serve on the Committee. One member of the Vestry may serve on the Committee as a liaison with voice and vote. Have strong process and organization skills to help the Committee keep its work moving forward; and have listening and communication skills that allow for meaningful input from parishioners and give them the sense that they have been heard. The Committee will be doing one of the most important tasks in the life of the church; therefore, nominees ought to be spiritually mature individuals who must be able to put the needs of the church first. The search process is expected to last approximately 12 to 18 months. Most of the Committee’s work will involve meeting participation and completion of assigned tasks. The frequency will vary, but at times might be as often as every week. Members of the Committee should make the Committee’s work a very high priority and should be willing to commit a significant amount of time to the process and be accountable for assigned responsibilities. You may nominate yourself or someone else. Before you nominate a member, please ask them first to make sure they are willing to serve. Any single nomination will be taken seriously, but we expect that gifted individuals will be recognized by many in our congregation. To submit your nominations, fill out the form and place it in the locked collection box located on the table outside the library. Thank you for your love and commitment to Trinity Episcopal Church. Please reach out to the Search Committee Co-Chairs (Lynn Ringholz, Mary Smith) or your Wardens (James Cannon, Kelly Smeltzer) if you have any questions about the clergy search process.Acknowledgements(Required)Please read and check each statement to indicate your agreement to continue.
